WRONGFUL ITC listing affecting my future

5 years ago i took out a loan at African bank. a few months into the loan i defaulted with payment. i then increased my payment amount to catch up on the default. for the more than 3 years my debit order payments have been going off without hassle. my statement however indicates the debit orders have been reversed. My Bank statements indicate i have been paying diligently without fail for the past 3 years.

I am in the process of buying a house, and for the first time in the past 3 years i find out that i have been listed with ITC for non payment?

I then created a Trans union account (at my own cost) and logged a dispute against African bank and the listing was removed from trans union within 4 days which then increased my credit rating on trans union immediately.

I now find out that my credit rating on Experian is also affected and this is the sole purpose that i do not qualify for a home loan.

I contacted African Bank and the lady I spoke to over the phone advised that she can not assist me and the only advise she can give me is to open another account and make payments on time to increase my credit rating, how absurd is this sort of advise from someone working a financial institution?

African bank have not once contacted me in the past 3 years to advise me that my loan payments were in areas, not a phone call, message or email. I have been making all my payments and now when i need them to remove my wrongful listing i get told that they can not assist. I managed to get my statement now for the first time in the last 3 years and i noticed that it has Incured insurance costs as well as legal fees which i am actually paying even though i was never contacted by them. I have already paid in excess of R120 000,00 on a R60 000,00 loan and now i have to deal with this sort of incompetence.

Now mine, as well as my families future is put on hold for however many years this listing appears against my name because a financial institute, namely AFRICAN BANK will not remove the wrongful listing against my name. I have 2 more payments and the loan is paid up, however the negative listing will remain against my name for years to come?

I need urgent assistance with this matter as i do believe that if it can be rectified at one institute (Trans Union) it can also be rectified at the other (Experian).
