Worst bank ever .when it comes to settlement of loans

I had a personal loan with African bank in 2016 and straight after I was unemployed for 5 years . It is now 2024 and I have been employed for two years now making payment arrangement every month . I wanted to finally make a settlement this year and requested if I could get a discount as I was charged intrest for 5 years unemployed and was told I only get a discount if I get an sms . I further requested if I could speak to management to negotiate a settlement amount and still no luck ..this is after paying a lump sum of over R80 000 just to lower what I owe .and still no discount . And still no sms

How do I get this discount ?? Instead I was given a congratulations call to say they can lengthen my loan to lessen my monthly installments !

I just want to settle and never get a phone call from African bank again as I got hounded everyday for 5 YEARS to make payments !
