update bureau informatoin

I had an account with African bank which to my knowledge was paid up. I am now in the process of buying a house and African banks details still come up as an amount outstanding. I have received a credit report and the African bank account only reflects at Transunion. I have received no communication in 4 years with regard to this account. I called them and was told that the last payment was made in 2011. I want this information removed from my bureau record immediately or i will take the legal route.
