Unwilling to help

There are clients who die refusing to pay their accounts, then you get clients who would like to remain good citizens, no matter their credit behaviour or past. I am on a quest to become debt free, but requesting Afrcan bank to help me in reaching this quest by offering me a settlement discount on my African bank credit card which is overdue now. They are refusing though to help simply because they say it is not a loan but a credit card and they don't offer discounts on credit cards. This I fail to understand, I mean people are struggling out there with debt and I want to come off debt, and would thus like to work at settling all my accounts with the help of African Bank. I know I have caused the problem to myself, but obviously everyone is entitled to a second chance. I mean for example, last year I received an SMS offering me a 30% discount on my balance, but now you say you don't offer discounts on credit cards, why was this offered to me last year? I phoned in today and Mbalenhle mabaso confirmed the terrible news to me as per call reference number: ***. I really fail to understand. All I want is for the bank to meet me half way on my quest.
