Unprofessional rude staff with *********** training

On the 23 February 2018 I went into the African Bank N1 City. I asked Nuraan Samaai to please phone the call center and request a full settlement amount on my loan. I spoke to Samantha Mahlangu who gave me an amount of R82847.60 in full to settle the account I also requested a paid up letter after payment. 2:Nuraan Samaai swiped my debit card for R82847.60 which according to her declined so she split the amount up into two amounts and then submitted an amount of R 50000.00, which also said declined. 3:Nuraan Samaai then said I must go to the First National Bank and go pay the R 82847.60 into the account of African Bank which I went and did on exactly the same day of the 23 February 2018

I returned to African Bank N1 City with proof of payment I was told I would receive the paid letter within the next 2 working days.

The next day on the 24 February 2018 I was very embarrassed when an amount of R25.00 was declined. I went to the First National Bank and I was told both an amount of R 82846.47 and an amount of R50000.00 had been taken off my account .My debit account was over drawn with over R16000.00

I phoned African Bank N1 City and spoke to Nuraan Samaai telling her what had happen when she very rudely said it was highly unlikely offering me no assistance at all.

I logged a complaint on line with the African Bank. Days after the still no response.

After being without money for several days and having my bank balance in a negative, I was advised by the branch manager of First National Bank N1 city that the funds were being withheld by the merchant, Visa, which is why the funds were not reflecting in my account nor the African bank account. Therefore, both banks are required to fill in a form saying that the funds are not being withheld by them. African Bank is an authorized financial services provider and their staff member should be properly trained on how the payment facilities work. Instead, after the First National Bank Branch member gave clear instructions on exactly what they need to do, all African bank does is send me to my bank and tell me they don't have my money. After being without money having to lend money for food, petrol and other day to day living, and being extremely worried about paying my rent, I went to N1 City African Bank on a day I had to take off from work, with a letter from First National Bank Manager explaining to African Bank how to assist me. I had all my transaction receipts and a bank statement explaining to Nkosi Nkambi and Claudette Mofeba exactly how to help me get my own money R50000.00 Fifty Thousand Rand which was legally mine.I explained over and over to Nkosi Nkambi over the phone. Nkosi Nkambi kept telling me over the phone he was sorting it out but was definitely not interested in assisting me as a client for many years. I sat in my car waiting outside while as i learnt later that afternoon Nkosi Nkambi was only a few kilometers away. If he respected me as a client and was a responsible regional manager he would of come and guided his branch manager Claudette Mofeba and read the letter the First National Bank Manager had written and seen all the receipts and statement I had brought with me that day.I asked Nkosi and Claudette to phone the First National Bank but still they continued in their ignorance and treated me in a very ******* and unprofessional manner. 9: At about 3pm Rochelle Govender an employee who is not even related to client service in any way came out and spoke to me because she could see my desperation for help that nobody was willing to give me

Immediately because of her proper training , common sense and experience Rochelle Govender has, with help from Marius Douglas and Mohammed Patel she was able to help me get my money back. They simply had to draft a letter saying that they are not reserving the funds, and FNB forwarded it to the merchant. 11 : What a disgrace people like Nkosi and Claudette are to any organization.I as a client of African Bank feel I deserve a write apology from Nkosi Nkambi Regional Manager of N1 City African Bank and that I must be compensated for my loss during the period from the 23 February to the 1 March due to the African Bank ignoring a simple request from a client.
