UNEMPLOYED AND STILL BEING ASKED TO GET MONEY SOMEWHERE TO PAY
My name is Keneuwe Sehloho (Now Nkopane), with Id Number: 900 ********** 088. In 2013 I opened and account with Ellerines Furnishers (Debt now taken over by African Bank) to buy a Samsung S4 Cellphone on hire purchase. In June 2014 I lost my job and went to Ellerines to inform them of my unemployment status. I was asked to provide the store with an affidavit declaring my status and a letter from the employer that shows that I am no longer employed by the company.
In 2017 I started receiving calls from a rude consultant phoning from ********** , I explained my situation and informed the Consultant that I am still unemployed and am unable to meet my monthly obligations. I threatened with legal action if I don't make a plan to repay the account in monthly installments, I informed the consultant that I don't have any source of income and as soon as I get a job then I will make contact with African Bank and look into repaying the account.
I get calls day and night telling me that I will be taken to court if I don't pay the account. I don't own any assets nor stay at my own place, what is it that African Bank will attach as I have nothing on my name. African Bank is more that welcome to perform a financial enquiry on my name and they will see that I do not have an income.
I really don't get it why I have to be called by different consultants always telling same story that I am unemployed and can not afford to pay the account as I am unemployed.
