Thieving African Bank
In october i took out a loan with African bank after working with my employer throughout the year. In January my contract was terminated and I went to close the loan off my submitting my EOC letter because my loan was insured in this instance. My submission was denied because I was still within 90 days of the loan so I had to come up to date with payments after I was unemployed. 2 of my UIF payments were deducted in this time. So when I managed to work for 3 week I was relieved. When I eventually got another letter stating that the 3 weeks work was over, I knew I was out if the 90 day periodso I went back to African bank to close the loan off but Mahosazana the lady who assisted me on the 23rd of March 2016 didn't submit my query. So African bank promised me would get a call related to my insurance query and how it would get resolved but instead i only received calls from collections asking for payment. In the meantime my cheque account is being debited and I accumulated bank charges of over R1699 .00 and I haven't been called about my query. So yesterday I went to African bank to find out whats going because i dont have airtime to call, and the lady said my query wasnt sent through so she re scanned my documents and promised I would receive a call. I worry because this was done a month ago and even though my African bank loan and credit card was up to date with payment at the time I logged my query, I feel they trying to rob me because the debt amount and deductions are getting higher and higher and my credit score is beingdragged through the mud while I'm waiting for them to fix this problem. Cant they freeze my African bank account and stop trying to debit me until they resolve the issue because my cheque account can't even be closed because I have so much money owing for returned debits and I can't stop the debits from my side because African bank is saying I still owe them.
