They bill you to settle your credit card???

I recently settled my AB credit card and I paid in the balance outstanding, however they continued to debit my account and I had to pay to get the debit reversed, thereafter I requested the debit be cancelled, and they proceeded to close the account, they then refunded my account and when I called in for a settlement they said I still had to pay coz they charge you fees when you need to settle your account??? Really they charge you exorbitant rates and when you free off the account still bill you on top of that despicable, absolutely disgusted!!!
