STAY AWAY FROM AFRICAN BANK LIERS!
African bank are LIERS! I complained about money that they *******ly debit\ted from my ABSA account via Debi Check which Absa also just allows to happen with NO Protection for it's clients. Later on I got a call back from Bontle from Afrcan Bank'd back office and she promised me that I would be refunded by either Friday or Saturday. NO REFUND! Today I call them only to be told that the REFUND had been rejected. What kind of bank is this that blatatantly LIES TO CLIENTS? WHY ARE OTHER BANKS LIKE ABSA NOT PRORECT THEIR CLIENTS FROM THIS DEBI CHECK THIEVERY!!!!

07 Mar 2023, 08:53I would like to thank African Bank for being truthful for once with me. Yesterday I called asking about the refund I'd been promised for Friday and spoke to an unhelpful person called Fikile who told me my refund had been rejected and she couldn't transfer me to that department. That was a lie as on Saturday i had been transferred to it only to find they don't work weekends. Complained on Hello Peter again and got a call from a very helpful person Matsepo. She was so professional and understanding to the plight most of us are going trough. She has refunded my money and made a new payment arrangement that will keep till May. Thank you most kindly Matsepo. You're an asset to African Bank.
