Signed contract with no funds!!no feedback

I app**** for a credit card at African bank at a branch and I have not received feedback. I sent all the necessary documents and was advised that my application was approved. The branch lady advised the application is at branch review and she cannot say when they will get back to me. If she does not know when , as a customer what am I to do? and she tells me I must call the head office yet it was her that assisted me. The service I have received is shocking and as a matter of fact I want this application cancelled right away and need proof. They made me sign a contract yet I have not received feedback.
