SETTLING YOUR ACCOUNT AFTER RECEIVING A DISCOUNT ONLY TO BE TOLD YOU STILL OWE LEGAL FEES ON TOP OF THAT

I received a message from african bank in september stating if i settle my credit card by 31 October i will be liable for a 50% discount. Which called in to African bank to make a telephonic payment & i did pay before the expected date. I was not informed that my account was now being handled by Hammond & attorney . I was sent a message by African bank not the attorney. So weeks later Hammond Pole Attorneys call me telling me i have not paid this account & am now liable to pay the full amount. Neither African Bank nor Hammond Pole agents can help me resolve this matter. I paid off the account & request a settlement letter. But am now being told something else.
