Retrenchment Insurance didn't cover

I app**** for a loan on 02-June-2011 and our company closed town and I was retrenched on the 31/08/2011, I called African Bank and I spoke to one of their consultant and she checked for me she told me that the insurance will cover me as I paid three instalment, I send all retrenchment documents to them, after two months I got my UIF money they deducted I call them and asked why the consultant who helped me told me my account is in arrears and I told her that am not working as I was retrenched, she checked and told me that the time I was retrenched my loan was up to date so the insurance must cover as I paid three instalment.
After 2 months again I started to get calls from their collections department requesting the instalment, when I contact African Bank to find out why my loan is not paid up as am retrenched, they told me that the insurance cant cover me cause my loan was not 90 days, I ask them why cause they deducted 3 instalments which is 90
days.Again I raise the point that on their contract there is no rule saying they cove your loan if you have 90 days with them. I got a job after 8 months and pay them R16000. cause I wanted to buy a car and they blacklisted me. Refund
