Removing negative late payments

Took out a credit card facility and due to unforseen hardships I wasn't able to meet my payments obligations but didn't run away from my commitment and finally caught up with my account payments and now the account is up to date but am left with the negative late payments on it and is affecting me from getting a house for my family. Please help by removing the negative late payments from the credit bureaus so I can move on with my life. I ask for this in good faith
