Refrain from opening an account with African Bank/Isiko account

I need to share my experience with African Bank’s Isiko account so that others can be careful.

I have been saving money since August for a very important family matter — my brother’s initiation. The money is in my Isiko account, and now that I need it, I am unable to access it.

Every time I try to transfer or pay myself the money to my MyWorld account, the transaction fails and gives an error. This has happened repeatedly, at a time when the money is urgently needed.

This is extremely frustrating and stressful, especially because the money was saved over months for a specific purpose. Savings accounts are supposed to be reliable, and right now this experience has been the opposite.

I am posting this to warn others to be cautious and to think carefully before trusting the Isiko account with important savings. When you need your money, you should be able to access it without problems.

African Bank / Isiko, I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved.
