Reckless lending

<p>This is a really upsetting matter. How can African Bank give a loan of R80 00 to a pensioner. I feel this is reckless lending. My dad is 84 and African Bank gave him a loan of R80 00. If they have done the full credit assessment, they would have noticed that he could not afford to pay an installment of R3800 per month with his pension. At the end of the month is left with R2300. I really feel that this is reckless lending towards the old aged. At this moment the bank have stopped the debit orders last year as there is insuficient funds to cover the outstanding debt. I am really upset about this whole matter. As he is old and a pensioner, I feel that they must write off this debt. There is no way that he can repay this money.</p>
