Prescribed debt act violation

I had an African Bank loan declined reason being "I had a loan with them that was prescribed and sold to 3rd party"

I want to know how can I remove this status on my name as it has a negative impact on my loan applications....the consultant did not help me. I want my name cleared and the flag removed. Somebody contact me to rectify this asap or I will go to the consumer ombudsman
