Pathetic Attitude

Once again, I have to complain about this "institution". I attempted to settle my accounts in August 2016 with my pension payout (I had been retrenched and wanted to avoid issues further down the line as I knew that I would battle to find other employment), African Bank simply ignored EVERY request made by me. I was able to keep up payments until April 2017 - when I had no funds left and no income. Since May 2017 however, I have had multiple calls every single day from African Bank. I have spent the past year explaining to them that this was the exact thing I had tried to avoid. I have sent through pages of documents - numerous times and yet here we are. Eventually (out of sheer desperation) I approached a consumer advocate, who instructed me to send the matter to the NCR - as this was clearly a case of reckless credit. I also approached the ombudsman (and am currently awaiting both of their responses). It should be note that on the accounts, the "Capital advanced" had been paid along with considerable interest that had already been paid back. Then today I get a call from African Bank wherein I get threatened by the staff member that a "tracer" will now be sent & I have to sign the documents that he brings. I told the consultant that it's unnecessary to send a tracer - as NONE of my details have changed, I haven't moved or anything to that effect, so a tracer is a waste of money and time. I don't need to be "traced" - African Bank knows ALL of my details. (Nothing has changed in the past 9 years). The consultant then told me that the tracer WILL be sent to my address & I must sign the documents. I told her that I don't "HAVE" to do anything of the sort, but she was adamant that the tracer will be sent. I am sick to death of this. I have not tried to run away or avoid this matter, so the need for a "tracer" is irrational. It's just another devious way for African bank to try "*****' more money from people. I will also NOT BE SIGNING the documents that will accompany this "tracer" - as per instruction from my legal counsel. I am sick of the way that African bank treats people like *********. Had they simply responded to my requests for settlement discounts in 2016 already, then we wouldn't be in this mess but now they want to treat me like a ******** by sending a "TRACER" - this is THE WORST financial institution in the world - and if anyone can avoid them - they should do so at all costs!!! They are treating me like I am the one running from them -when for more than a year they ignored every call, every e-mail and every other attempt that I made to prevent this from happening.
