No help While On unpaid Maternity leave

So, I'm a African Bank customer who pays my account every single month with no problems. I am going on unpaid maternity leave soon an decided to contact African Bank to find out what my options are. On there website it clearly states they cover ur premium if u on short time up until 12 months and if u are on compulsory unpaid leave they cover your instalment for 12 months. Today I was told unpaid maternity leave does not fall in that category and I ha e to pay my account or my account t witjn go in arrears. How pathetic is that, they are actually going to turn a perfectly good customer into a bad one. Nowhere on there website is. Maternity exempted from being covered??? As far as I'm concerned maternity leave is compulsory unpaid leave according to law ur have to take leave! The least African bank can do - like other banks is offer a a payment freeze option. As I am. Not asking 2 nit pay my loan at all, all I'm asking is for some kind of relieve while I'm Not working and not getting paid a salary. Very very disappointing that such a big company takes your MO ey for "Insurance" every month but won't even offer u a payment break for when you go on unpaid maternity leave. I am sure as hell going to make sure to finish up with African Bank. And never deal with them again.!!
