neglect to close account

I payed the final amount and requested that the account be closed and they didnt close the account now i got a sms stating that i was handed over to VVM debt collectors for the amount of R 6270.82. If they closed the account why the extra amount. We have been to the branch so many times to try and sort it out but they cant help me now im fed up! They are giving me a bad name!<br> <br>
