My 3 week long loan application

Hello,

On 16 October 2018, I app**** for a loan with African Bank which I have been pre-approved for. I have been messed around by the Sunnyside, Pretoria branch. I have been turned away from the branch a couple of times. Everytime I was told that I need to bring in documents or I need to come in for my fingerprints. 7 visits to the Sunnyside branch later and after signing 3 different contracts with 6 different applications, I was told last week on Thursday by branch manager, Lutendo Ndou that everything is sorted and that I would never have to come in to the branch again, he promised this to me. I told him that I will be in Bloemfontein so I wont be able to come in and he said I should not worry I would not have to come in to a branch ever again.

I have then been called by him asking to come in because they need my fingerprints again for the last time. In Bloemfontein, I then went into the branch yesterday, spent over R200 in transport fees only to find out that he actually did not send the application to the head office for the processing. How disgusting.

I have spent 5 hours in the Bleomfontein Branch yesterday, but I have to commend these people for their excellence in that branch. Running around like headless chickens to sort out someone else's mess in another province. 5 hours later, leaving after closing time, I was assured that everything is now sorted and there would be no more bank visits. For once, African Bank staff was true to their word. I have been called by the team this morning to verification and a few minutes later, the money was paid into my account. A huge thanks to the following people:

- Rodney Naidu: Head Office (Supervisor) - Emmanual Monoko: Bloemfontein Branch - Rose Bouwer: Bloemfontein Branch - Lindiwe Motsheku: Bloemfontein Branch

The above mentioned people has gone out of their way to assist me and have showed genuine concern for this issue. And it is because of their great service, that my 3 week long application has come to an end.

Now that this has been sorted out, I have however lost lots of wages due to visits to the bank, because I needed to take off from work in order to get the branch while they are open. I have spent on transport to get to the Bloemfontein Branch especially. I have also been caused a lot of stress and anxiety because of this matter. Therefore, I would like African Bank to compensate me for the bad experience.

Thanks and Regards Tashriq Lee
