Loan offer rejected without a reason after signing loan contract

I app**** for a personal loan online and at the Cape Town City Branch on 11/10/17, which was approved. I met all the requirements and submitted all the required documents. They took the bio-metrics and everything was in order. I signed all the contracts and they said funds would be transferred to me within 48 hours. I confirmed my plans relying on this. The funds were not availed as agreed and upon my follow up using my airtime and after being run-around, I was shocked, disappointed and disgusted to be told that my application was rejected! Besides lack of professionalism and transparency, this is a potential breach of contract as they had made a firm offer and I signed the contracts. Also, I entered into agreements relying on the offer. I have a solid credit record and no reason was given. Why did they offer me first then reject when it is time to avail funds? Why waste my time and airtime? Will the Ombudsman view this as fair practice? I am yet to receive response but shocking service from African Bank! Regards, Aubrey **********
