Loan Interest reap off

I'm really not happy with African Bank's repayment interest charged, i acknowledge that my account is behind, as much as all my other debts are behind,however an interest of R1 700 monthly to me its a total reap off, i understand that African bank its going through some financial problems, however this is not an effective strategy to procure finance, i have made a payment arrangement as much as i did with other creditors to pay at least with them R1500 i have further stated that i shall review my arrangement after every 6 months, if this interest does not get fixed, i will have no choice but to stop payments as that is just a waste of my money which i could have done something better with it, its like me paying towards nothing. I'm really willing to pay my debt but not like this.
