Loan Contract Term Extension

Hi, I needed to extend my loan term so as to reduce the monthly payments as i have other financial obligations that also need to be satisfied. But African Bank cannot give me an option to do so. Why not? It's not like i don't want to pay, I will still pay the account monthly but i need to pay a lesser amount from the Original amount. Can somebody please have a heart and consider my cries for an option to extend the term??
