Loan Approved but paid into wrong Bank Account - A DISASTER
Account Number : *** - SM Ralph I have never experienced anything like this. I app**** for a personal loan. When you apply, African Bank asks for certain documents such as Copy of ID, your Payslip, Proof of Bank Letter or Bank Statement and proof of address. African Bank approved the loan but paid it into the wrong account. They still have old information on their database such as my ASBA account number which is now closed. My question is, why did they deposit it into the ABSA account and not as per the documents I have submitted with the loan application? My bank is now at FNB. Why did they not deposit it into my FNB account? I will take this matter further. This is unacceptable and now I must go to ABSA and fight there to get my money. There's a very good chance I'm not going to get this money from ABSA as they also have their rules and regulations.

I was at the bank on Saturday. Went to ABSA, they told me that the fault is at African Bank. ABSA phoned African Bank many times than I went back to African Bank. It seems they do not want to take responsibility for their mistake.
They just shrug their shoulders. It's now like a ball being thrown back and forth between ABSA and African Bank. It is in my eyes very unprofessional. As from the start I app**** for a personal loan at African Bank and NOT a consolidated loan??? My account at ABSA is closed since my husband past away in 2018. My new bank account is at FNB and that is the BANK LETTER from FNB I have submitted with the rest of the documents. Why on earth did they pay the money into ABSA????????????????????

This is really the bad service from African Bank's Complaints Department. After all the messages above, no one has even bothered to contact me to resolve this issue. ABSA Bank is also in silence, do not hear from them. I refuse to pay a cent until this mess is sorted out.
