**** about Application Approval
I went to African bank Eastgate to apply for a loan. I took all my documents and was even given offers that I qualified for. I chose the amount needed, and I even signed the contract at the branch. Now comes the part that frustrates the living daylights out of me. As per Steven at the branch, my loan only needed employment confirmation to be approved as the company I am employed at is a small enterprise and is not on their system. I was told that my employment would be confirmed on Monday (which was yesterday) and that I would have the cash in my account the same day. At 09:26 I phoned the call center to find out if they knew what time someone would call in. After being put through to about 5 different people, i am finally put through to a lady by the name of Thuli (who was quite rude, by the way), who then tells me that my loan application was declined and that the reason was that I didn't meet their criteria. Which is fair enough but I had signed a contract and was promised that the loan would be approved. So now here I am worrying and wondering and so I decide to phone the branch. I get put through to Steven and he then tells me that he had just checked the system and it still said pending approval and so I should expect a call sometime that day. At 13:25 I received a call and was told that my application was declined because the company I work for does not appear on their system. Now this is where I lose all patience with African Bank, because how the ****** hell do you decline an application if you never flippen phoned to confirm employment? just by going on the system and typing it in, won't help. I even told both Thuli and Steven that the company I work for is a start up company and as such we won't be on any system as of yet. but do you think they actually listened. Nope. So next time African Dumbass Bank, make sure that you tell your clients to wait for the fricken approval first and then come in and sign the damn contract.
We're really sorry that you still feel unhappy, but unfortunately we have to stand by our decision this time.
