Less Bank for your buck with African Bank

I was hit by a car in 2010. My medical aid ran out, I app**** for a loan and credit card to pay outstanding bills. I was then retrenched in 2012. I filed for insurance to cover the remaining balance. My credit card was paid off and so was my loan (confirmed) - I thought.

In 2015, permanently employed, I apply for a car, only to be declined due to African Bank blacklisting me, apparently for being in arrears for 2 years. The dispute was 'resolved' in August (the bank even owed ME), but the damage was done - my score is dismal (dropped over 100 points), and all the bank can say is 'they go by what the system says'.

Another dispute was logged in September. Today I received and SMS saying my matter has been resolved but I am STILL sitting with a negative scoring at TransUnion, Experian and Compuscan - I have to call, hold, fax, take time off work to complete affidavits, etc. All I'm asking is for the history to be rescinded and my score to be updated accordingly so I can reapply for vehicle finance and my home loan. I have already waited 21 days, 60 days etc.

Its unfair to be painted as a poor payer with it now solely up to me to rebuild my score to repair their damage.
