Keep on asking for a statement but no response!!!!

I have an account with African Bank and have been asking for a statement for the last 2 years but have not received any, i then stopped the debit order and all of a sudden i get a response and a phone call from the bank. I promised to pay the account again if they would send me a statement with what is outstanding and what has been paid. I release the debit order and start paying again and waited for the statement, i received a MINI STATEMENT on my cell phone with the amount still outstanding and it don't make sense to me. Then i call the bank and ask them for a statement and not a MINI STATEMENT on my phone but still this is all they send me, I then stop the debit order again as I'm not getting what i asked for and all i know i might be paying the monthly instalment into someone's bank account. So now I'm waiting to see what African Bank will do to resolve this issue. Well done African Bank from just another unsatisfied customer!!!
