Just doing as they please

Yesterday (2016/12/12) I received an sms from African Bank stating that my installment will be deducted from my account on Wednesday 14 December 2016. Today (2016/12/13) I spoke to two consultants from african bank trying to understand what the reason was for my account being debited and also find out who gave them authority to debit from my account on the specified date, because i know for a fact that i will not be paid on that day. the sad response i got from both consultants was that they are sorry but there is nothing that they can do as the debit order has already been loaded. After that i was not offered any immediate assistance.

My issue is that I might not have money in the account on that day which means the debit will bounce meaning I will incur bank charges as well as a negative payment record. In addition, I was requested to supply documents to support my claim which is also creating more unnecessary work for me which is unacceptable. The worst of all is that I was told that somebody will be in touch with me anytime within 48hours!!!! *** is the point if said person calls me in 48hrs time because the installment has already bounced and the damage has been done??

All the other institutions that i have credit with have asked me for confirmation to deduct earlier than normal except for African Bank. My question is;

Who is responsible for loading these early debits?? AND

who gave them confirmation or authorisation to go on with loading the debit?? AND

why is it now my responsibility to run around to get this sorted??

Sincerely,
