<p>I took a loan with African bank 2013 May R100.000</p> <p>I called them on them on the 25 July 2016 because i decided to settle the account but to my surprise after paying R3500.00 on a monthly basis without fail they told me the settlement amount is R60.000 ...SHOCKED ....is this loan shark or what ?</p> <p>The account has always been up to date, after making 38 payments 38×3500=133.000) After fighting with African bank agents, i was advised that i have to default on the account and the account must be handed over or be in arrears in order to get a discount and the discount is only given by the collections lawyers</p> <p>What makes this even worse is when i received monthly statements it was never the full outstanding amount, they would send me monthly settlement figures, leading me to believe that i owed less than what I actually did</p> <p>African bank are worse than loan sharks, they were never upfront about their ridiculous interest rates. I would just like to warn people about this place and their very questionable business ethics.</p> <p>Can someone give me a better settlement amount....</p> <p>My cell number is ********** 800</p> <p> </p>
