Harrassment

I was affected by Co-Vid 19... The bank wanted to take my debit order off on 30 May to find no funds available. I was phoned to be asked if I can agree to a reduction in my premium by around R 1000.00. I told them that I will only know my financial status for this month June, when I get my salary, which in a previous complaint to Hellopeter I mentioned the amounts. Since then I have been having countless attempts to call me. I blocked their numbers. I want to only deal with e-mail with them from now on. Everyday there are countless calls to my blocked number list. Why do they hound someone who has only missed 1 payment with them and not the real bad debtors? I will make an arrangement when I know how my salary is going to be affected this month. If they were a person I would have already made a charge of harrassment with the police. Please be patient. Co-vid 19 will disappear and you will get your money.

I said that I want to deal with e-mail from now on. I got a call today on my work number and will add that to my case for harrassment. I recveived an e-mail from complaints, which I have responded to, so there should be no need for further phone calls. Nowhere on email have I received notification for the following:

The amount with which I am in arrears for (noting that it is within 30 days of the statement).
The confirmation or not of a payment break application, which was made with their cellphone app.
New terms of contract for the remaining terms based that the interest will be more.
A way to claim for loss of earnings based on the letter and supporting documents that I sent to the complaints department that my salary was adversely affected by COVID 19.

I feel that the bank is treating its customers unfairly and would never recommend them to use African Bank again.
