Harassed by legal department

I notified the above company , that i was retrenched , and I currently dont have funds to pay , however they send me threatening messages and are still adding on alot of interest onto the amounts I owe them .So any consultant that calls I explain to them again .This banks service is usually very good ,its just when it comes to payments they harass the client.What more can I do if im not recieving income.
