For the love of all good things - Can we just work on this together already!
I always sing praise where praise is due and have previously praised African Bank for working with me, however my view and stance has subsequently changed and I cannot deal with this arrogant non compliant bank any longer including their rude and arrogant non client eccentric and engaging consultants.
I would really actually like a senior manager to call me and discuss this matter, that can actually make a decision and tell us the way forward.
BACKGROUND: 1. In 2022 I was retrenched, and it was a fight and argument with African Bank to get the insurance sorted out on the account, 2. The insurance paid until March 2023, whihc was cancelled without my knowledge. 3. Having cancelled the insurance resulted in the accounts going into arrears substantially with absolutely no feasible way to get them caught up. 4. In 2024 I app**** for Debt Review, wherein African Bank was contacted to rearrange the account, African Bank is the ONLY CREDITOR that has NOT responded to the restructuring of the account. 5. African Bank keeps calling me the CONSUMER for matters relating to the account when it should be the Debt Councilor, 6. African Bank Consultants CONFIRM that as per their FAIS Training and NCR Training, they are not legally entitled to contact me but it is apparently the BANKS policy, so the bank is NOT COMPLIANT in the NCR and Banking Ombudsman will be informed hereof. 7. The only conceivable way to actually get these accounts up to date is to re capitalize the accounts that I have with African Bank, so that there isnt undue pressure on me with the one account being in arrears with R80K and the other being in arrears with 50K. 8. With the arrears, the interest keeps on piling up, which isnt helping the situation at all in respect to this. 9. Why can the bank NOT engage with the consumer and come up with a feasible long term solution wherein we recapitilze the accounts to ensure that timeous payments can be made, this will only benefit you as the bank and me as the consumer, that is what communication and a relationship does.
Please for the love of all things good, can someone of seniority call me to discuss this matter in depth, I am even willing to come to the main office and discuss or entertain a video conference call but your inability to communicate, work with the consumer and only make demands for payment isnt helping the situation.
The Debt Councilor has also been mandated to discuss with African Bank and get the bank themselves to recapitilze the accounts.
If someone can call me today and we can get to the bottom of this, I can make substantial payments on the accounts before the 1st of April totalling R10K. But REALLY need to speak to someone who can actually assist me as this matter has been ongoing since 2023 and we are not getting anywhere with African Bank
PS: the Debt review process will be ending shortly, as I am being removed, so the faster the bank works with me on this, the better for all parties concerned.
