finish paying

I have or use to have a loan with african bank it was R2229 in erreas they collection department recently send me a text offering me 50% on my account. if I pay it I no longer ow them. I called to confirm if that was true. And they sad yes so on the 18/06/2015 I paid that amount R 1115.00 at 13:17. And I faxed them proof on the 10/06/2015 at 14:43. now they send me a e mail telling me that I still ow them.
