Debit Order Deductions

Good Day

Kindly note that as per my loan contract, the agreed deduction date should be on my salary date which is on the 25th of every month.

Due is being December, my salary was paid in on the 20 December 2016, however African Bank attempted to deduct the instalments for my loan account as well as my credit card on the 19 December 2016 without informing me. I have therefore incurred unpaid debit order charges in the amount of R300.00 (R150 per deduction).

I hereby request that they repay the amount of R300 unpaid debit order charges incurred, else the matter will be referred to the credit ombudsman for resolution.

Should they require any additional information or proof, I may be contacted via email.

Note that I’ve has a similar issue with African Bank in the past which was resolved by Zelda Moloana.

Your prompt response in this regard is appreciated.

Regards

Sharon Ensal
