Credit card - confirmation of employment

I app**** for a loan at the Menlyn branch on Monday, and was approved for R 6000 with credit card. I was told that they just needed to confirm my employment, and the deal would be done. On Tuesday, I spoke to the consultant, and the loan was still pending. Today I phoned the again, and was notified that they are still waiting for the head office to confirm my employment. I thought that this was quick and I am still waiting. I am not sure whether to cancel the loan and go somewhere else or what..
