Confirmation of employment

Hi, I app**** for a loan and credit card on Monday 15/06 I took all the paperwork to the Rustenburg branch. I got the credit card and signed for it. The lady at the branch said it would be activated within 24-48 hours. Today I had to phone and ask why the card is still not actived. Then they said I must send them a confirmation of employment letter. Why cant they just phone my employer I did give them the direct number and contact person. I needed the money Monday already. Think I shod cancel everything cause i am going to take long to get that letter and I need the money.
