Charge for bank card renewal

I recieved notification from african bank that my bank card would expire on 31/01/2023 and went to the bank before the date to be told if a new card is issued before the expiry date I would be charged R70. and if I renewed the card after the date there was no charge. However on 02/02/2023 I renewed the card and was charged the R70. I sent african bank an email complaining about this and have had no feed back at all.I am a very unhappy client.This is not the way to treat a customer and being a sassa pensioner I can little afford that unexpected expense.
