Breach of Contract POPI Act

I received a SMS on Monday 12/12, informing me that my debit order will has changed to the 15/12 and my monthly date is set for the last day of the month as that is my salary pay date.

I then contacted African Bank, at 16:30 12/12/2022 as would like to know who authorized this without my consent, (clearly a breach of contract) and I was told by one of the staff members, that African Bank contacts employers to get that authorized. According to the employee, my employer approved that Africa bank can change my debit date the 15/12. Which can not be true as that will be a breach of contract as per POPI act.

I then requested to speak with a manager, as I was not entirely happy with her response at that. Someone then came to phone, and was told that the manager is not in that day, and she is the supervisor. Explained my issue again, and was told the exact same thing.

I requested to change it back to the last day of the month and again was told it's not possible, and I would need to contact a different department.

Client service then advised, it can be put back to the last day of the month, which contradicts what the previous advisor mentioned. I then received an sms claiming it was changed. I then requested an email confirmation that proves my employer was contacted, and an approval was given that African Bank may change MY debit date to the 15th.

I would like that prove, as I will be taking this further.
