# black clients matter

On Saturday I went to african bank at 12:25 and told the lady I was here to apply for a personal loan as I had been pre-approved on clear score, she asked me a million questions to discourage me and I ended up asking her directly if they can asist me or not and she said they can so i took a seat and immediately closed the front door at 12:30, I could over hear consultants telling the people coming up to them that they will only be doing checks and not full applications in the interest of time, is that treating customers fairly? Considering that some like me had already been pre approved online yet the consultant insists they only do checks from 12:30! Anyway a few clients opened the front door and barged in shortly after it was closed, the lady at reception received them nicely as they were already inside but service consultants were screaming that the branch is closed, can’t they see that the door is closed, it was 1 lady and 2 young man, at exactly 12:45 a man wearing a yellow shirt came in and was told by a service consultant that the branch is closed hence the door is closed but the gentleman insisted on coming in as he only wanted to make a payment to his loan, he was grilled with questions but the man was determined to get what he came for and eventually was sitted not far from behind me, at this point in time I realized that I am not gonna get help here because it was now 12:50 and they will refuse to do a full application, I went up to the consultant and indeed he told me their song “ in the interest of time we will only do a check “ to which I responded that I had already done a check online and he told me that he needs to log an issue to cancel my online application before he can complete an application for me and that can only be done on Monday or Tuesday, thn the indian lady at reception joined in and said the consultant is right I must come back Monday etc, funny thing is that right behind them was a sign about treating clients fairly, I left work an hour early to make it to African bank cuz I needed the money desperately, so now I need to pay back the hour on Monday and I ended up going to loan sharks because I had to get the money Saturday hence I did the online check Monday, how disgusting is that for service? The thought of African bank Dbn Anton Lembede makes me sick in my stomach, I did not get the names as they were not wearing badges, but if any action will be taken against these individuals please feel free to contact me and I will point them out , there is no order there and I even told them I am a bank employee myself and at my bank we wud never treat customers like dirt , just to add to my review, there was an indian client whom was assisted with a full application after two young black man were told about the interest of time song
