African Bank - What they confirm and what they two are definately not the same thing !!

I app**** for a loan at African bank. During the application process I probably had to submit all supporting documents 5 times if not more. On Friday I got a call from a Consultant who informed me that all I need to do is to send Letter confirming Employment through him. I specifically asked regarding the status of the application, and he confirmed to telephonically and also via e-mail that the loan is approved and that all he needed to do was to confirm employment. Surprise Surprise..... about an hour later I get an e-mail to advise me that my loan application was declined, even AFTER it was confirmed telephonically and also via e-mail that is is approved, and all that was needed was the confirmation of employment.
