AFRICAN BANK VIOLATE CONSUMER RIGHTS TO CREDIT AND IGNORE LEGISLATION ON CREDIT RIGHTS
AFRICAN BANK DOES NOT FOLLOW THE NATIONAL CREDIT ACT SPECIFICATIONS. They cause undue delays in finalisation of my personal loan due to extensive unneccessary verifications done by legally *********** staff who does not know the provisions of section 23a of the National credit amendment act of 2015 or is too *********** to understand what is written in this section and deny the application of provisions of the court ruling on proof and verification of income in 2018. The violate the rights of the public to credit and people should report them to the National Credit Regulator/ Banking ombud/ Consumer council and financial services board. They just plainly ignore the provisions of the rights of consumers in these acts. How does a company give you an offer and you sign a pre-agreement of acceptance and all the bank statements and payslips as required by the credit act and then proceed to decide to request even more verification beyond the provisions of the credit act! - and after signing acceptance! Incompetence and staff not trained on legal provisions would be a good guess, which in turn is against the PAIA Act that states you entitled to help by qualified, trained and knowledgable staff! And they sign you up for insurance before they even finalised the loan. I will not pay any insurance policies unless there is a loan in place!
