AFRICAN BANK TAKES ITS CLIENT FOR GRANTED BECAUSE THEY HAVE LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF LONG TERM INSURANCES
Dear African Bank
I acknowledge that I might not be well literate to understand the credit act and terms. However i want to express the level of bad and awful service I'd received from African Bank for the past 2 Years and still happening. The past 2 years has been nothing but a torture. Indeed when you don't understand credit laws and short-term insurances terms companies like African Bank will take advantage of you. I so wish that this should never happen to anyone. No customer should be a victim of what I went through.
On 2017/07/27 I took out a Silver Credit Card with African Bank. After three payment the balance of it kept escalating when I enquire they said it's insurance it will automatically adjust I must just pay. But no no no it kept on escalating till to date. Is it only me or all customers are treated like this? For 2 and half year being tortured by African Bank.
To date the insurance has been added to R14300.00. I want to know what kind of insurance is this that it does not lapse due to non payment? I want this matter to be addressed here in Public. If I found to be wrong then I can withdraw my remarks.
I am not trying to be a difficult customer or anything. Just that I was unfairly treated and my rights as a consumer were violated by the company I trust. If whatsoever policy remain active due to non three payment can you please provide me with that document. I have referred to the policy documents it is not there. I don't understand the reason for that insurance to be active while I was not paying. I was also advised by your consultant to skip the payment it might lapse. Your consultants gave advise based on assumptions.
You don't value your clients - You don't respect your clients - You spit at your clients - You don't take your clients serious - You take your clients for granted.
I remember phoned several times about this issue for the past 2 years. Your consultants said I must contact the 'Guard Sure' it's independent service provider that render service to African Bank. African Bank Does Not deal with the cancellation.
My Questions To You Are 1. Why your insurance did not lapse after three premiums were not collected? 2. Why did you deliberately delay the process of policy substitution? 3. Why did I have to intervene the NCR in order for you to take me serious? 4. Hence all the required documents for policy substitution were submitted in June, I phoned I spoke to one of your rude consultant. She said they received them it will be done in 7 working days. Why was it not done? 5. During that 7 working days it turned into 4 Month. Your insurance during that time charged me R1 468.00 before it could be canceled. Why did you not back date It? Take ownership for your mistakes?
I hope my path never had to cross this bank again. This is the treatment I have been getting for the past 2 and half years. Indeed you take your valued clients for granted. Now you have proven it to the entire South Africa that you will keep on spitting at your clients.
I so wish that the next clients does not become a victim of what I had experienced.
While still awaiting feedback from ombudsmen this will remain here. Keep on ignoring it's what you do best. I will also stop to pay the credit card.
