African Bank reinvested my R32,244.65 without consent – second time! STAY AWAY FROM AFRICAN BANK – YOU WON'T GET YOUR MONEY BACK! My fixed deposit (***) matured on 30 Dec 2025. I did not authorise a reinvestment, and I did not tick the “reinvest” box when opening it. Yet African Bank reinvested the full amount without permission – this is the second time this has happened. I emailed SCCInvestments and *** on 6 Jan and again on 15 Jan with no response. This is unacceptable. I’ve now filed a formal complaint and will escalate to the Ombudsman for Banking Services (OBS) and FSCA. African Bank is holding my funds without consent and ignoring me. I will never invest with them again. Even a lower interest rate is worth it to avoid this stress.
