African Bank- My world Rewards is not operational!

African Bank's "My World Rewards" is an absolute joke. They are using the system to draw clients but the system management is in total shambles. In store service at the bank is wonderful, but they seem to be unable to assist with the issue. We have to make enquiries at our branch every month to be awarded what is due to us, and even a direct branch enquiry lately has no positive outcome. E-mails are never responded to, and frustration levels are through the roof. They even question the validity of their own notices to clients that qualify for a monthly reward after 10 swipes of more than R50. 00. The service provider for this programme is totally useless and clients should not have to follow up every month to get what is due to them. I have tried every possible avenue of communication only to experience the same thing the next month. Rediculous!

Last week I shared my negative experience with the My World Rewards program. I received a call from the bank within 5 min of the post and the media liaison officer really tried his best to assist by acting as intermediary with the service provider. Eventually, and after many calls and days of having to "prove" that I qualified for the rewards,(data that is on their systems?) I received what was due for July and September. Why this process actually needs to be repeated almost every month is beyond me. We are now at the end of October, and hopefully the program manager for the rewards will succeed in giving clients what they are due timeously!?
My wife's account was then attended to by a friendly lady at the My World Rewards division, and was promptly issued with what was due to her(well almost). She was awarded a few codes to redeem,(many were outstanding on her account) but after redeeming, no Wi-codes were sent to her for 2 of them. No explanation for this , and I guess I will have to take the time and make a call again??
My main concern is that African Bank and the rewards program managers could solve the issues once posted on this platform, but there was absolutely no response to any of my e-mails, phone calls, etc. beforehand to deal with the problem. There was also not even a positive response resulting from E-mails sent by the very helpful agents at my branch at the Mall @ Reds. Somewhere, someone needs to start responding to communication, and this may impact positively on the bank rating which is taking a serious hammering.
As I said, we are now at the end of October when the new codes are to be issued again. I really hope that the process will run smooth, and that we as clients will be able to trust that our bank makes good on its promises?! If it does, something good may even come from this for all participants in this program. Lets hope!

African Bank remains a huge disappointment and embarrassment to the banking sector and its clients. I spent the last week and a half engaging with AFRICAN BANK just to get the My World rewards due on the accounts of myself and my wife. After many hours of engagement some of the issues were "resolved"(?) and some of the vouchers due were issued and redeemed online as it should be(7 issued-2 would not redeem-AS DISCUSSED WITH THANDEKA ON 29/10/21)
Can there be a bigger EMBARRASSMENT than to stand IN A FULL QUEUE at the till of Checkers with a trolley full of groceries and then having 4 out of the 5 vouchers DECLINED!! So I had to pay with hard cash, where as the WI codes issued by AFRICAN bank and the MY WORLD administrators remain totally USELESS. If this is how African Bank resolves its issues I am not at all surprised at the dismal rating on this platform.
How on earth did the bank get awarded for being the best in administration (or was it client services)??
