African Bank Made Me Acknowledge a Prescribed Debt from 2012 – Unfair and *******!

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with African Bank. They contacted me and made me acknowledge a debt from as far back as 2012, which is clearly prescribed under South African law. According to the Prescription Act, any debt older than 3 years with no payment or legal action becomes legally unenforceable — yet African Bank still added this debt to my credit report and pressured me into acknowledging it.

I did not receive any proper explanation of my rights, and I feel that I was misled and ********ly manipulated into reviving a prescribed debt. This has now affected my credit standing and caused unnecessary stress.

Why is a 2012 debt still appearing on my report more than 10 years later?
