AFRICAN BANK: ******!!! STOP LENDING FROM THIS BANK, PLEASE!!! IT'S A TRAP!

I have a loan with African Bank and for a while it was on arrears. Lat year August I paid the amount in arrears to keep my account up to date. A month after I paid the arrears, my installments started going down by 50%. I thought this was due to the interest accrued over time little did I know that African Bank did this deliberately (without my consent) so that my account can remain in arrears. It's only in May 2020 I decided to check the outstanding balance because I thought by now this chapter of my life is over. To my surprise that I still owe African Bank almost the same amount as last year!!!! Question, who gave African the consent to decrease my installments? Even after I paid what was in arrears? ***
