African Bank Credit Life Insurance - **** or Not ?

I app**** for Credit Life Insurance on my loan on the 14th of April 2020 and sent all needed documentation to the Insurance Department. I received a do not reply email from that department saying they received the email and documentation. I emailed them again at the end of April 2020 and again on the 7th of May 2020 requesting feedback on my application with no reply from them. I received a UIF Payment on the 8th of May 2020 and they were the 1st ones taking my money. I tried a reversal to no avail seeing that that was the only money i had to buy food for myself and kids. I want to know what is the reason for credit life insurance on your loan if they do not want to assist you when you are desperately in need of their assistance. Or is this just another way of them taking your hard earned money. I need feedback on this as soon as possible.
