African bank breaches their own agreements

A little while back i took a loan of R36000 with African bank. I paid for a while and fell on a hard time. I turned to debt counselling and the payment arrangements were made and agreed to. My latest debt counselling statement showed i owed African bank R31000. Eventually 3 days ago i received a small inheritance. I then decided to pay African bank up and settle them in full thinking that the amount reflecting on my debt counselling statement of R31000 might be a bit less which is usually the case. Instead African bank sends me a settlement quote of R38000 ! How in the world is that possible. Thats even more than the original capital i borrowed. There was an agreement with African bank and my debt counselor NDA. And all of a sudden African bank hears i want to settle and they push up my balance with R7000 ! I will take this to the NCR and Ombudsman. This is a breach of agreement and contract. I have my debt counsellors statement with a balance agreed upon by National Debt Advisors and African bank. Now the settlement amount is R7000 more from African bank. No wonder SA is turning to Capitec. This is taking advantage and ****************. This must be rectified. I dont have the amount of money African bank wants to rob me with. I thought the settlement amount will be less than that on the statement which is usually the case. I didnt think it would be R7000 more.
