AB LEGAL COLLECTIONS - STILL REFLECTING
Good day
I had recently app**** for a loan at AF - but get declined due to (AB LEGAL COLLECTIONS IN ARREARS)
Kindly note that I had a loan with African Bank in 2011 when I was 20 YEARS OLD.
Why after all these years does still have an impact ? As it is affecting my score negatively on the app and I am unable to apply for credit from AB.

After I spoke to a very helpful consultant ,(Big thank you to her) I was advised that I will never be able to take out a loan with African Bank due to it going to collections etc ..
While I fully understand this , I do question how are you quick to open me a AB account , offer me products , asking me to switch my salary to AB however should I need a loan one day from 'my bank' I will not be able to get a loan ?
After taking a loan out when I was around 19 years old , almost 15 years later , I still am not able to get a loan because of something that happened so many years later . One would say that yes , a person was young , fell on hard times ,and was not seriously aware of the complications etc .. Yet now that a person is matured, have a family and try and fix and take responsibility and be responsible , we are banned basically .
Why not then do a limit of years on this for people that fell on hard times etc ..???
Really really wrong .
I def will never be using AB so might as well close the account you guys opened and remove me from your list as AB is a useless bank at this point.
