30% discount not app**** as promised.

I received a sms last month offering me a 30% discount on my 2 African Bank loans. ********** 005 and ********** 006. I contacted African bank on 25 February inquiring until when the discount is valid..They confirm 15 March 2019 and I subsequently request the discounted settlement letter as my bonus is paid 13 March which works out perfectly. I receive the discounted letter which also indicated it is valid until 15 March 2019. However I was unsure as there is a payment due 28 Feb. and I do not want to get blacklisted for not paying on that day as well. I call into the call center to ascertain the correct way of dealing with this is. They advise me that I must do the normal payment and request the adjusted letter thereafter as it will be minus the payment made. Today I request the adjusted discounted letter just to be informed that the payments made on 1 March are not deducted from the discounted amount due to fees. I am not happy about this as I could've just done the one payment 13 March without wasting additional money but at least i still have a huge saving. Then I received the new settlement letter which removes the 30% discount as it now suddenly does not apply. African bank you are being dishonest and definitely not adhering to the TCF principles. I have proof that you offered me a 30% discount on my original amounts valid till 15 March. I also can retrieve the telephone conversation where YOUR consultant advises me to make the monthly payment separately and thereafter request an adjusted letter. I am sure that your office also keeps record of all calls. I've been a loyal customer making payments as I should. Please reconsider your standing on the 30% as the way you are handling this is really unfair and dishonest. I respectfully await your reply wither via hellopeter or ********** Regards, Nicolette Beams

Hi received feedback. The statements were resent with 30% discount app**** but without taking additional payments of just under R4k paid on 1 march into consideration. However I am comfortable with the assistance received from the consultant who dealt with my complaint this morning. I will be settling this account in the 13 March. once again thank you to the consultant who took the time to listen, understand and resolve my complaint. Pity abt the additional R4k lost

Soooo due to all the above drama and confusion I paid my account ********** 005 in the 1st of March instead of the 28 February. KINDLY SEE MY REFERENCE ABOVE TO BEING UNSURE ABT PAYMENT. That one day has now ensured that I am listed on ITC as being 30 days in arrears...How is this reasonable? You have recorded calls between myself and the consultants ito the payment. The settlement letter received stated I had till the 15th to pay. I paid my normal installment ONE day late on the balance on 13 March. In effect I paid this account finish 7 months earlier than my contract. On what reasonable basis have you listed me on ITC as a slow payer for Feb. My statement for this account shows no arrears. I thought ITC listing is for clients who do not honour payments. I have been paying well and completed my contract early! Why am i penalised. I have been engaging with the African Bank branch in Tygervalley re this matter and even though they tried their best this isnt resolved. Please.. someone assist. This is not acting with integrity at all.
